Below are photos of various "herps" (reptiles and amphibians) taken during a 4 week trip to Uganda involving many half-day safaris in game preserves and national parks. Depending upon the day, photos were mostly shot with a Canon eos 90d or an iPhone 11 Pro. Many thanks to David Otto from Grassrootz for his guiding expertise! Enjoy!

This individual was crossing the road in front of us in the rain. When I got out to take pics, it tucked very deeply into its shell!

Reported by a local to be a "cobra". Not sure which species.
