Convolvulaceae > Cuscuta (dodder)

This is my best guess as to the ID of this dodder. It was growing on a shrub by a small stream at high elevation.

Styles appear to be separate, flowers appear to be sessile, and I think I see bracts subtending the flowers.

There are about a dozen species of dodder in NC, and I find them difficult to key out. This individual was growing in a thicket of blackberry and Eupatorium at ~5200' near the top of Beech Mountain
