Cattail Toothpick Grasshopper (Leptysma marginicollis) Moore Co., NC 14 Mar 2007 Statewide in North Carolina in wet habitats with emergent vegetation. When disturbed, this grasshopper flies a relative short distance, alights on another stem, and quickly slides around to the opposite side of the stem. This makes photography a bit of a challenge! |
