Fine-lined Emerald (Somatochlora filosa)

In NC, this emerald is common, found mostly in the coastal plain, and flies from summer into the fall season.

This image was "digiscoped", in other words I held my digital camera up to the eyepiece of my spotting scope and snapped the photo. The dragonfly was perched about 75 feet away.
