Herald Petrel (Pterodroma arminjoniana)

Rare but annual in Gulf Stream waters off the NC coast, this is one of the most highly sought after species of seabirds for North American birders. I highly recommend Seabirding.com tours with Brian Patteson for seeing this and other east coast pelagic species.
