Swamp Titi (Cyrilla racemiflora) Edge of lake in Sandhills Gamelands, Scotland Co., NC 14 June 2008 Pronounced "tie-tie", this plant is common in the sandhills and coastal plain in North Carolina in various habitats from pine savannas to pocossins to swamps. Generally not a great nectar source for butterflies, occasionally some individuals will attract lots of insects including butterflies such as this Common Buckeye. | |
