Green Treefrog Hyla cinerea

Common in the eastern half of North Carolina, Green Treefrogs often have a few tiny yellow dots on their backs.

Males inflate a vocal sac below their throat to produce mating calls.

This large treefrog's vocalization was lower than typical for Green Treefrog. Note the hint of texture on the back and the overall pattern seems to support the a hybrid between Green Treefrog and Barking Treefrog.
