Blue Ridge Two-lined Salamander (Eurycea wilderae)

Found in mountain springs, seepages, and under moist forest litter this species was recently split from E. bislineata. Blue Ridge Two-lined Salamanders occur mostly in North Carolina and barely range into Virginia, Tennessee, and Georgia .
Blue Ridge Two-lined Salamander (Eurycea wilderae) Note the dark line running from the eye down to the tail but breaking into spots in the tail. In Southern Two-lined Salamander (E. cirrigera), the dark line is more contiguous toward the tail tip.
