Little Yellow (Pyrisitia lisa)

Abundance varies by year for this species in NC. It's probably mostly a migrant but it's breeding status in NC is uncertain. Can be found from spring nearly till winter, but it's most commonly seen after mid-summer. Uncommon to common in the coastal plain and sandhills, generally becoming less common as you go North & West. Long treated as a member of the genus Eurema, recent taxnomic revision suggests placing this species into the genus Pyrisitia.
